A live-streamed benefit concert centering on themes of community and self care, with a panel moderated by MusiCares Director Jennifer Leff.

Neon Dreams

Artists will perform intimate sets speaking about their own experiences and feelings related to mental health going into the winter, and mental health experts will share self-care best practices and resources for coping with feelings of isolation.

The event will be simulcast to the YouTube and Facebook channels of participating artists, mental health organizations, and music media partners. Join the stream to chat live with our community and support our fundraiser for mental health programs.

Nashville singer-songwriter William Fitzsimmons grew up as the youngest child of two blind parents, in a family that leaned into sound and music as ways to communicate. His memorably passionate and intense tracks "Passion Play" and "Please Don't Go” were featured on TV medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. He previously worked as a licensed mental health therapist, and says he often uses songwriting as therapy to work through difficult personal challenges.

In this episode of Staying in Tune, we’ll be talking about how mental health challenges have shaped his life and his music.
