The Trevor Project - The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. 1-866-488-7386
National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network–A healing space for queer, gender non-conforming and trans therapists of color to resource and support one another. Also serves as a directory for these professionals, and includes a mental health fund for those who face financial insecurity.
LGBT National Help Center–Confidential peer support, information, links to local resources. Also, links to youth and senior helplines as well as online peer chat support. 1-888-234-7243
Trans Lifeline-A nationwide organization that provides hotline peer support and material resources for trans people, by trans people. They also offer microgrants for trans folks in need. As of 1/1/24, operating hours are M-F 1-9pm EST, with plans to re-open the hotline on weekends in later 2024. 877-565-8860 (US), 877-330-6366 (Canada).
BLACK, INDIGENOUS, & PEOPLE OF COLOR
Black Mental Health Alliance–Develops and promotes trusted culturally-relevant educational forums, training and referral services that support the health and well-being of Black people and their communities.
Inclusive Therapists–Directory for culturally competent therapists of all abilities, bodies, and identities, and filters for low-cost and pro bono. Offers professional trainings for POC, as well as crowdfunding for these trainings.
Therapy for Latinx–Database of culturally Latinx therapists, in both Spanish and English. In collaboration with Mental Health America, offers free mental health screenings.
BEAM–Black Virtual Therapist Network is a growing online directory of Black therapists in the US.
InnoPsych–InnoPsych’s mission is to bring healing to communities of color by changing the face and feel of therapy. They strive to make therapists of color more visible in the community by creating a path to wellness-themed business ownership; to make it faster (and easier) for people of color to match with a therapist of color; and to create a major shift in how communities of color (or POCs) view therapy.
The Loveland Foundation-Provides financial support for ongoing therapy for Black women and girls via their Therapy Fund, and the Foundation educates and amplifies the importance of therapy and access for marginalized communities.
AAPI
Asian Mental Health Coalition–It is the mission of AMHC to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health within the Asian community.
SAKHI–Sakhi for South Asian Survivors exists to represent the South Asian diaspora in a survivor-led movement for gender-justice and to honor the collective and inherent power of all survivors of violence. Sakhi is committed to serving survivors through a combination of efforts including—but not limited to—direct services, advocacy and organizing, technical assistance, and community outreach.
Asian Mental Health Collective–Both a directory of AAPI mental health providers as well as an organization working to normalize and destigmatize mental health within the Asian community. They also offer a community blog and some free virtual support groups. Their Lotus Therapy Fund aims to make psychotherapy more accessible.
Asians for Mental Health–a directory searchable by state of Asian therapists that lists their nationalities.
South Asian Therapists–the largest South Asian directory searchable by state or region around the world and lists their spoken languages.
MUSIC INDUSTRY
Backline–Backline is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources. One is assigned a case manager for their own customized care plan to connect with wellness specialists and clinicians nationwide, working with flexible and sometimes unpredictable touring schedules, and finds low-cost and no-cost coverage as well as flexibility with insurance across state lines. Backline also offers free, virtual peer groups, wellness programs such as breathwork, and trains therapists in the industry.
Musicares®–MusiCares® is the nonprofit arm of the Recording Academy who provides a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music community in three key areas: Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services, Health Services, Human Services. MusiCares provides financial assistance for therapy, coaching, inpatient, outpatient and detox programs. They also offer free support groups and virtual yoga.
Amber Health (formerly Borer Newman) - Amber Health provides comprehensive mental health care for the music industry, highlighting the human experience of those who work in it.
Sweet Relief-The Mental Health Fund at Sweet Relief provides financial assistance to music industry professionals in need of mental health services.
Music Industry Therapists Collective-A collective and searchable nationwide directory of ex-industry therapists (US + UK). They also provide consultancy, training and workshops for the workplace and other industry spaces.

Thervo -Great for folks newer to therapy. Like an app to filter through by asking the client specific questions. Therapists specializing in the specific issues or by characteristic email the client if they have availability.
Open Path Collective –A nonprofit network and directory for finding lower-fee therapists. There is a base membership and then average sessions are $30-60.
Grow Therapy –A directory with simple and specific filters for matching clients with therapists based on their insurance. The service streamlines the matching process for both counseling and psychiatry, with virtual and in-person options, where therapists can make their own hours and bill to insurance through the app or website..
Issue Specific Peer Support
Depression and Bipolar Alliance–Support groups for depression and bipolar disorder.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention–Whether you have struggled with suicide yourself or have lost a loved one, know you are not alone. Hear about personal experiences from people in your local community whose lives have been impacted by suicide.
NAMI Local Support Groups–NAMI support groups are peer-led and offer participants an opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other attendees around mental health and substance abuse challenges.
Equip–Equip helps families recover from eating disorders at home. Equip’s virtual, evidence-based care is provided by a dedicated five-person team that empowers families to help their loved one achieve lasting recovery.
National Harm Reduction Coalition - works to uplift the voices and experiences of people who use drugs and bring harm reduction strategies to scale. Programming includes overdose prevention, syringe access implementation, and educational and policy work.
