DRIVING ACTION AND IMPACT THROUGH PARTNERSHIP
The 5th annual SOUND MIND MUSIC FESTIVAL FOR MENTAL HEALTH brought together artists and forward-thinking organizations to create community, foster dialogue, and catalyze social change for mental health during a crucial time in history. The event amplified the voices of artists speaking openly about mental health, and elevated the requisite conversation and culture to break stigma as it exists today.
In addition to live performances, artists shared their own mental health journeys, and experts from leading mental health organizations shared mental health resources, support programs, and tips for self-care. Proceeds from the event benefited regional affiliates of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) — the largest grassroots mental health organization in the U.S. providing free programs and services to people facing mental health issues.
86% of audiences surveyed reported being more informed about mental health support and resources as a result of the event

“The point is not necessarily to experience happiness exclusively, but to be able to more gracefully move through all the emotions and be able to use the nutrients that we get from all those emotions to grow.”

“I’ve gone through a lifetime of struggles with this stuff in my past and in my present and I expect some in my future. And I’ve found the more I reveal, the freer that I feel.”
