Take Action and Support Mental Health in Schools
Depression, anxiety, and suicidality among young people are at record levels. The situation is so troubling that the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Children's Hospital Association jointly declared a national children's mental health emergency last year.
Providing school mental health services is one of the most important things we can do to address this crisis and ensure a healthy and hopeful future for our youth by meeting students where they are — in schools.
You can help by making legislators aware of the problem and demanding more funding and services be available for taking care of students' mental health.
